Finding Strength Today!

As mom of all boys who are teens right now, I find myself praying and asking God to give me strength. You can imagine cooking meals for 5 and working from home, cleaning and all the other duties of a mom!
At times it can be overwhelming.  What I have learned to do is pause for a second and meditate on the promises of God  Philip 4:13 - I can do all things through him who strengthens me. I confess this word with my mouth. This does not mean, that  I will grow muscles overnight and become a Wonder woman.
This means that God will strengthen me supernaturally to have strength to deal with the daily challenges I may be facing.
Sometimes we need strength not only the physical strength, but we need the mental strength to deal with circumstances, you are going through .
Take a pause and breathe and set the priorities of what you should do first.
I was encouraged and I had to share what I had read, as I was studying my bible today, you may find yourself without strength today, overwhelmed. Rest in God today and read. Paul was content because he could see life from God's point view. He focused on what he was supposed to do not what he felt he should have. Paul had his priorities straight, and he was grateful for everything God had given to him.
Clear your mind today and meditate on God and His priorities and ask Him to guide you.
Today he will give you the strength you need today.  You may have tons of laundry, dishes in the sink, or meetings or appointments, deadlines and you have looked at your watch and you’re behind schedule.
Ask God for strength and remember that you can do all Things in Christ who strengthens you!
I have these promises of God that you can declare today:
2 Corinthians 12:9  My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
2 Chronicles 16-9  For the eyes of the Lord move over all the earth so that He may give strength to those whose whole heart is given to Him. You have done a foolish thing. So from now on you will have wars.”
Isaiah 41:10  Fear not, for I am with you;  be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you,  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
1 Chronicles 16:11  Seek the LORD and his strength;  seek his presence continually!
Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Psalm 18:32-34  The God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

So, if you’re a mom, you have the strength to tackle that laundry today and Rejoice!
Be encouraged and don't give up!  Keep a grateful heart of Thanksgiving today. You have strength in Christ who is in you!

Exchange your Ashes for His Beauty!

I wanted to share with you a little nugget today as I was meditating on God’s word. I was reading Isaiah 61-3.
God brought this to me as I read my Bible this morning. For our ashes, God is exchanging joyous and beautiful things for us. Don't hold on to your ashes, exchange them for the beauty that God has for you today!
A lot of times we want to hold on our past hurts and we keep nursing the pain. God is saying it’s enough! He wants to heal you today. You don’t have to cry yourself to sleep every day. Offer all your pain, and place it at the cross.  With the Blood of Jesus you are healed if you believe in Him! You are set free!
Let’s rejoice in gladness today and stop mourning.  God has a crown of beauty that He wants to place on your head today! Join us and become part of the Gods Family -- a son or daughter of the Lord! And enter into the everlasting love that only God can give and has no end!
It’s a New Day!  Live and enjoy God, His presence is with you! Rejoice Today!  Have a Blessed Day!

To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
    festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.

Isaiah 61-3

From my heart to yours!

Finding Healing In Him!

As Women, God equips and graces us to wear many hats: Wife, Mother, Daughter, Friend and Career Women, just to name a few.  Wearing those many hats and leading our fulfilled and busy lives, often times can leave us unintentionally putting ourselves on the proverbial back burner.
Two months ago, I began feeling sick however with the cares of life-being a wife, mother and working; I really didn’t put much thought into how I was feeling and into my physical health.  Unable to ignore the symptoms that I had been experiencing any longer, I decided to go to what I thought would be a routine Doctor’s visit.  My Doctor ordered several test to help uncover why I had not been feeling well.  After waiting a few days for the test results, I called the Doctor and he told me, “Estela, your test results are positive for Lupus.  I suggest that you see another doctor for proper care and medication.”  My heart dropped for a second!  I had just been told that my test results showed that I was positive at 160% high for Lupus; which was explained to me as a chronic illness and immune disorder disease, with NO cure.  I began to cry.  As I thought the worse of my health and diagnosis; I quickly recalled being told two years ago by another Doctor to get checked out for this illness because of the same symptoms I’d recently been experiencing…I simply did not pay it much attention by getting a physical.
I decided to educate myself on Lupus and began to say, “No, I don’t accept this report!”  I refuse to believe and accept the report of Lupus and said, “I do not have this and if I do, I will NOT allow it to manifest in my body!”  Over the course of a couple of weeks, I experienced being extremely tired and without strength.  I could barely get up in the mornings, get out of bed, work and do daily task…I was exhausted!  I had lost strength in both my hands and feet and felt my feet stiffen up…it was a very weird feeling.  One night I remember crawling into bed at 6 p.m., crying myself to sleep.  I felt like I was fighting off death.
My husband, Dave quickly told our Pastor about the Doctor’s report and how I had been feeling.  The following Sunday there was an Altar Call at church, where Pastor called forth all those who had a chronic illness or Doctor’s report.  I immediately went up to the altar for prayer.  My Pastor anointed my head with oil and prayed over me for healing.  It was in that moment of prayer that I felt a warm sensation of heat come over my body.  I went back to my seat and returned home later that day, believing that my healing had taken place.  After that Sunday, I continued to meditate on God’s promises.  I wrote out several healing scriptures from the Bible and my husband and I began to speak those scriptures out loud and pray together every day.  Day in and day out, I just kept aligning my thoughts with God’s promises of healing.  My boss, co-workers, friends and family would send me text messages of God’s Word; lift me up in prayer and words of encouragement- reassuring me that I had the victory over this illness.  I believed God…I believed that He is a GOOD God!!  I knew that this bad report and illness was not the end of my life’s story.  I continued to pray, stand on the Word of God and believe in that healing touch from that Sunday when Pastor anointed me with oil, laid hands on me and prayed over me for healing.
A few weeks later, I went back to the Doctor for a second test.   This time the outcome was much different with the test results coming back NEGATIVE for Lupus!  I was so happy to hear my Doctor’s voice message saying, “Estela, NEGATIVE LUPUS!”   Mere words could not describe just how happy and thankful I was to God for His ‘Miracle Healing’ He did within me!
I’m sharing this with you because I believe in the ‘laying on of hands’ for healing, anointed oil and the POWER of agreement and prayer!  I thank God that I finally decided to listen to that “still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12) and go to the Doctor; where he was able to identify what was trying to come against my body.  Having this knowledge allowed me to quickly put my faith in action- pray, stand on God’s Word, declare and speak LIFE over my body, thereby allowing the miracle of my healing to take place.
If you have been diagnosed with a chronic illness…DO NOT accept it!  Know and believe that God loves you and that HE IS A HEALER!  Cast out negative thinking and bad thoughts that try to come into your mind- renew your mind with God‘s Word and speak God’s Word DAILY over your body!  “Fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12) with the Word of God, by standing on God’s promises for healing, meditating on healing scriptures throughout the day and at night, putting on headphones and allowing  songs of healing to continually play and get deep within your spirit as you fall asleep.   I cannot emphasize enough, DO NOT accept the bad report…don’t let the sickness or diagnoses take hold of your mind or your body; believe the report of the Lord…”take hold EVERY thought” (2 Corinthians 10:5).  The Word of God tells us that, “Angels hearken to the voice of His Word” (Psalms 103:20) and obeys faith- filled words, so SPEAK the Word of God ONLY over your body!
Be encouraged, REJOICE and thank God in advance for your healing- the healing Hands of Jesus HEALS!
