I really like
butterflies. What do I like about the butterfly? I stopped and starting to
think.
I saw the
colors and the beautiful designs on its wings, but it was not that beautiful
when it first was an egg.
I studied
about the butterfly process. It started as an egg, then a larva, then a pupa
(cocoon), which turns into a beautiful butterfly.
I started to
meditate on this scripture.
2 Corinthians
5-17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old
has gone, the new has come!”
This means we are going through a process of spiritual growth
every day. We are all in a working process of becoming something beautiful from
the inside out. Don’t allow yourself to focus so much on the outside appearance.
Focus on what you are feeling in the inside. Because the inner beauty we carry
in our hearts will manifest on the outside.
I am not endorsing neglecting your outside appearance. However, I
am saying take care of your heart. Guard your heart. Fill it with the beauty of
God’s Love and His words. The Bible talks says in Proverbs 4:23: “Above all
else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 24
Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25
Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you.”
Get rid of toxic emotions, feelings of unforgiveness, jealousy, bitterness,
self-pity and anger. Don’t compare yourself with your sisters or brothers. I
love how Joyce Meyer puts in one of her books “Diamonds have many facets.” God
is like a flawless diamond, and each of us represents a different facet of Him.
Like the Wing of the Butterfly, each
facet has a unique design with many beautiful colors. God made every one of us
different. You have a unique talent and calling in your life with a purpose that
God has given you.
Keep yourself humble and not puffed up. Stay humble always, it
does not matter what your position is or what you have done; we are all called to
be servants of the Lord. We are here on earth to serve our brothers and
sisters. Lay our life down for our brother. Don’t listen to the voice of pride.
I really love this chapter in Ecclesiastes. Let me share it with you!
